Mayor & Council

Lakefield citizens are elected as community representatives or city council members.  The Lakefield City Council meets twice each month to discuss and decide on issues affecting the city including ordinance enactment, personnel issues, authorization of tax funded projects and other important resolutions. 

Regular city council meeting are generally held at 7 pm the first Monday after the first Sunday of a new month unless it falls on a legal holiday.  The second council meeting of the new month will be held two weeks after the first meeting.  All council meeting are open to the public and held at City Hall.  Please contact City Hall at 507-662-5457 if you would like to have an item placed on the city council agenda.
